Stratego is a two player strategy game where each player controls an army of 40 pieces with the goal of capturing the enemy flag. Using an ad blocker turns this into a mostly free app; however, I don't like the timer. I was just having my best game so far, but I lost because the timer ran out. Please add a setting where I can TURN OFF THE TIMER, especially if I'm playing an opponent who seems to be automated -- it knows the next move automatically and doesn't ever let the timer tick.

The app seems to run great, even on my low end phone, and the bots are decently capable if you're a new player wanting to get a feel for the game. The pricing is practically predatory though. a niche board game looking for a monthly subscription is... questionable. Maybe if it was cheaper, and there was an ad option, it'd be okay. but as it is, I can't recommend this app if you're serious about playing. There are websites where you can play for free.

This app has potential, but ultimately falls short. The app offers 15 full games of free plays against bots, and a very limited campaign locked behind a steep paywall. When playing against the bots, the game runs smoothly. However, I found several bugs (I would have reported them, but the report a bug feature itself is non-functional). The two main issues are that I could not save any default setup. Also, I could not create (host) a game for multiplayer with a friend.
